I received an nice email from Pay Pal today, confirming my purchase of a new laptop.  That’s funny, I didn’t buy a new laptop.  Apparently I was in a giving mood and decided to have it sent to Wayne E. Bakewell.  Note to spam-scammers, pick a less fake name.  Needless to say, I spent a lot of time on hold confirming this order was indeed a fake.  Luckily I surfed the web while waiting and found that Wayne is a busy man.  Best hint received is that if Pay Pal really does write to you, they use your first and last name in the ‘to’ line.  Not ‘member’ or ‘blank’ as Wayne did.  Luckily since my friend wrote me an “I love you” poem about 5 years ago that I openned, which subsequently imploded my office, I’m very hesitant to open any link.  Which is ironic, because I’ve attached a link explaining the scam.
